Down Memory Lane...

Laura & James’s beautiful autumn wedding took place in the fabulous countryside setting of Bassmead Manor Barns, perfect for their preferred informal rustic style. They wanted to keep the floral designs quite simple to suit the venue, but colour was very important with Laura choosing a mix of dusky mauve and lilac shades (perfect for autumn!) with cream and ivory. Roses were the perfect choice for this colour scheme, mixed with masses of the couple’s favourite gypsophila. The dusky shades also gave the flower designs a vintage feel, with favourite rose varieties including Mentha, Ocean Song and Memory Lane...

Bride with rose and gypsophila bouquet

Laura chose a neat and compact style of bouquet with a vintage feel. It included dusky Memory Lane and Mentha roses as well as lilac Ocean Song and creamy Vendela roses, ivory spray roses, scented freesias and touches of dainty gypsophila.

The wedding ceremony

What a lovely moment! You can see from this photo that Laura’s bridesmaids wore dresses in a mix of deep aubergine and dusky lilac, which worked beautifully with the roses chosen for Laura’s bouquet. They carried simple posies of massed gypsophila – so pretty!

James wore a Memory Lane rose buttonhole with a sprig of gypsophila to match the gypsophila sprays worn by his groomsmen.

The colour scheme and simple rustic style was continued through to the main barn for the wedding breakfast…
