Gallery: Katie & Joe

I always love the opportunity to do something a little different, so creating the natural-looking designs for Katie and Joe’s winter wedding was a real joy and shows what you can do with a mix of fabulous foliage!

The brief was to create natural/wild designs with plenty of texture and natural materials and nothing too formal or regularly placed (I like random bits and nothing too feminine, said Katie!). The couple wanted plenty of green and grey foliage, with touches of silver-grey to work with the light grey of the bridesmaids’ dresses and the men’s tweed suits and some fresh spring lime-green to lift the scheme. Flowers were limited to white and ivory spring flowers to create a look in keeping with the season…. not a rose or sprig of gypsophila in sight!

The rustic style of the foliage and floral designs was perfect for the country setting of Bassmead Manor Barns – always one of my favourite places to visit.

I hope you enjoy looking at some of the photos from a fabulous day and my thanks to Katie and Joe for allowing me to share some of their photos (as well as a few of my own). The amazing professional images were taken by Megan Wilson (, so my thanks to Megan too.
